How To Refresh Your Look Each Season Without Buying A Whole New Wardrobe

22 Feb

This is a photo of a woman wearing a black suit with a cream waistcoat under it.

Once you’ve built a good wardrobe of foundation pieces in neutral colors, then each season, rather than buying a heap of new clothes, (unless of course, you want to) all you need to do is add a few of-the-moment pieces that will refresh your look, give you more outfits and make you feel modern.

By updating your wardrobe this way, it also means that when you combine a new piece (maybe trendy, maybe not) with something you already have in your wardrobe, it’ll feel like you. (As opposed to a whole new trendy outfit that can feel a bit overwhelming.)

In this photo you can see a suit (let’s imagine is several seasons old), is given a new look by adding a trend piece – the waistcoat.

You could do the same with an old blazer and a modern new pair of jeans, or a simple navy dress and new season boots…
